Day 1 We had a great day yesterday. Our day started with Dylan waking up around 7:00. We played and played until around 9:00. Then, he took a nap for about an hour and half. At 10:30 we headed to meet my mom for lunch. She had to show Dylan off to all of her co-workers first. They could have kept him the rest of the day. They loved on him and played with him. Finally, at 11:30 we headed to lunch at one of our favorite places, 211. It is soooo good. I enjoyed a club sandwich, which I could only eat half of. After dropping my mom back off at work, Dylan and I headed home. Once we got home he took his afternoon bottle and off to sleep he went. I thought it would be a good time for me to try to get a little sun. I sat outside for about 45 minutes. I had to come inside because I felt my skin starting to burn....glad I did. I woke up this morning a little pink. Dylan slept for 3 hours!!!! We ended up eating dinner with my mom. We had to help her with the leftovers from the weekend (it was her birthday). Day 2 (Getting close to 30 is not fun) I had a doctor's appointment this morning. It was that time of year for my yearly check-up. It's so hard to believe this time last year I was in the very early stages of pregnancy. I called last week to get an appointment. I'm usually really good about calling several months in advance, but this year it just did not happen. I wanted to be seen this week since I would be on spring break. My usual doctor was booked. So, they told me if I wanted to see the nurse practioner I could. I was fine with that. Well.....I got to the doctor's office and did the usual questions, weight, and blood pressure. Of course, I had to tell them about my gall bladder surgery and the problems I had been having (I've lost 12 lbs since they saw me in December). I wanted to lose 6! The nurse started doing her exam and stopped when she felt of my neck. She asked if my thyroid had ever been tested. Of course, I said no. Well.....it got tested today. She thinks I have thyroid disease. I will get the results back in about a week. What's next?!? This whole turning 30 thing isn't working out so well. Anyway! I left the doctor a bit discouraged and headed for some retail therapy. I was just going to go to T-J Maxx and the mall. I wanted to look on the clearance racks for clothes for next fall for Dylan. I bought all of his summer clothes ahead of time when we found out we were having a boy. I cleaned out his closet this weekend and washed all the new clothes. So, it's time to restock the closet. I didn't have any luck. I guess I'm late on shopping the clearance racks. I see a trip to Commerce in my near future. After leaving the doctor, I just wasn't in the mood. I wanted to find myself something cute to wear for Dylan's 6 month pictures, but I just did not even try. So, I came home to a very fussy baby who was past due for a nap. It took nearly an hour to calm him down and get him to relax enough to take a bottle and go to sleep. My sweet boy was soooo tired. I felt so sorry for him. He is now asleep and I am going to try to get some rest myself. I really need to wash bottles, do laundry, and clean the house. Maybe later ;-)
