Spring Break day 4

Looks like I have spent my spring break in and out of doctor's offices. I will be headed back to the doctor this afternoon. I got my blood work results back and indeed my thyroid is not functioning properly. I actually have hypothyroidism, which makes no since. Most people with this are usually overweight. Normal levels are between .5 and .8. My levels are at 20!!! The nurse explained that is why I am so tired all the time!! Again, I thought it was related to being a new mommy! So, I have to follow up with my primary doctor to see what to do. The nurse practioner at my ob/gyn said that they may want to send me for an ultrasound just to make sure nothing else is going on. UGH!!! I can't handle anymore, a gall bladder removed, thyroid disease, and turning 30!! This is just tooooo much. I was ok with hitting the big 3 -0 until I started falling apart. I will update after my appointment. However, Dylan and I had a great lunch at Subway with Poppop! My dad and I usually meet and eat at Subway when I am off work. During the summer we manage to meet once a week!! When I was pregnant I wanted a sandwich so bad and they don't recommend sandwich meat unless it's toasted. So, Subway was perfect for us. My Mom is not a fan of Subway so my Dad doesn't get it very often. Dylan was such a good boy for us. He didn't even make a sound. He just looked all around. We picked a great time to go, he had a good nap and a whole 6 oz bottle. He was content. I really wanted to take off and head to Commerce for a shopping trip for both Dylan and myself. Oh well!!! Maybe tomorrow. ~~~ UPDATE~~~~~ Just got back from the doctor. My levels are crazy high! She put me on meds. I will go back in two months to make sure the dosage is correct. She said sometimes it takes 6 months in order to get the correct dosage. It will take about 6-8 weeks before I notice any changes, the process is slow. She said the first changes I will notice will be weight loss. I have the kind of thyroid disease that is usually diagnosed when a person gains weight and is very tired. Most people with this kind are overweight. She asked if I watch what I eat and I said no. I eat whatever whenever. I have only watched my diet since my gallbladder episode. So....we will see. I'm not investing in many summer clothes yet.
