Michael and I celebrated our 4th anniversary yesterday. I can't believe we have been married 4 years already. We both worked but ended the day by going out to eat at a local golf course. My food wasn't that good, but Michael loved his meal. I do have to say that my salad was amazing with a champagne dressing. We also ended our meal with a piece of pecan cheesecake, which was good.
We don't go overboard on gifts for our anniversary, but we do like to show each other a little special treatment. On our first anniversary we started giving the "traditional" gifts each year. This year was linen. We thought about going to get a couples massage together since it involves linen, but decided to wait on that due to me having gall bladder surgery and having a "healing" incision. So, Michael suprised me with some beautiful sheets (we have 4 unopened packages from our wedding). He said I could return them to get something I wanted but, I thought they matched the pillowcases I ordered for Michael perfectly!!LOL!
To make up for the terrible "linen" gift ideas, Michael gave me a really pretty topaz necklace and I gave him a little cash. Perhaps he will find something linen for his car?
Today, we both took the day off. Originally we took the day to spend time with Michael's aunt and uncle who are in town from Nebraska. But, after realizing that I had scheduled Dylan's 6 month pictures for the same day and Michael's family reunion, we rescheduled our pictures. So, we headed to Greenville this morning to have Dylan's picture made (which I can't wait to see). After our photo session we went to The Green Room for lunch. It is located in downtown Greenville and was sooo good. I love being able to sit outside to eat. We had the best time. Once we finished eating we knew Dylan needed a nap, so we headed back to Hartwell. He slept most of the way home. We got home, then quickly headed to Michael's Grandmother's house to visit. We enjoyed our visit with his family. Then, we were off for an evening with friends. Kim and Ed hosted our "friday night supper" this week. Once again, we enjoyed the beautiful weather by having our meal outside. It was so relaxing to sit and enjoy friends and great food.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
