Carol and Corey

Carol, a co-worker of mine, is getting married next September. I asked her if I could take some pictures of her and her fiance. I just told her I wanted to take some pictures to get some experience and it would give her a cute little album to have. I emphasized that if she wanted to hire a professional my feelings would not be hurt. To my surprise she LOVED the pictures. So what do you think......

A TRUE friend

We have all had people enter our lives that we call friends but only a few that we call a True friend. Jason was the definition of a true friend. He was always there for us no matter what. He was unselfish and never once had an excuse. To give an example of Jason and his unselfish/caring ways....... Michael and I planned a trip to the beach the last week in July. We asked Jason if he could watch our house and watch over our dog, he is the only one we could ever get to come take care of Cricket (she loved him). Well, he said he would be glad to but he had an appointment at the dr the day we were leaving and did not know what time he would be headed back to town.
On our way to the beach Michael and I called him to see how his appointment went and to make sure he was still going to be able to take care of our house/dog. Well he didn't answer the phone. After about ten tries we finally got in touch with his father. He broke the news to us... Jason would be having surgery the next Monday.. this would be his 6th surgery. Michael told Jason's father that we would go with plan B and get someone else to take care of dog/house. Well, he insisted that Jason would do it. We had fun at the beach, talking to Jason on several occasions, just to check on him. He never put on that anything was wrong.
We arrived back home on Saturday and of course called Jason to see if he wanted to go out to eat with us. He was in and said he would be right over. His mom pulled into our driveway and to our suprise Jason got out of the car.
Later, we found out that the entire time we were at the beach someone was driving him to our house to take care of Cricket. He NEVER said a word. He never told us he could not drive.
Wow... What a wonderful person. We would have never imagined that on that Saturday night we would never hear Jason talk again, we would never see him walk again, and would never be able to hang out with him again.
After several visits to the hospital it was apparent that it was going to be a long road. Jason was moved to the nursing home where he lived a little over a month. The week before Jason went to meet our heavenly father he was doing so well. It never even crossed my mind that when I left work on Friday, it would be the last time I would see Jason alive.
My heart is broken. We will all miss Jason sooooo much. I know that right now he is smiling down on me and has probably cussed all of us out for the tears that we have shed. He would want us to celebrate his life instead of mourn his death.
So, from today forward I will remember the happy times, the many memories, and one the best friends I could have ever had. Jason, I love you!!!!!!!
