So..... I've officially complete my third pinterest project! First was the magnetic board for Dylan's room. Next, the menu board for my kitchen was completed. Today I'm sharing...... a party napkin wreath for my classroom. I got the idea from here.
First I purchased 4 different packs of party napkins. I love bright colors, so I selected hot pink, neon green, and bright blue. I'm such a girly girl when it comes to clothes, shoes, and decor. I threw in the zebra for fun. Each pack of napkins was $1.00.
My sweet husband unfolded the napkins and put them in a pattern to make the process a little easier. It also helped to speed up things.
I took each napkin and gathered it in the middle. Then I twisted the end just to make it easy to hot glue onto a foam wreath.
As you can see, I wrapped the foam wreath with napkins before beginning. I also tied black and pink ribbon to it so I would have some way to hang it on my classroom door. It only took 4 napkins to cover the ugly green wreath. I hot glued them on the front, then on the sides, and finally the back. The back wasn't completely covered, but it was fine. So....I twisted napkins and glued onto the wreath in a pattern. Since the zebra pack of napkins had fewer in the pack and I didn't know how many it would take I used a pink, green, blue, pink green, blue, zebra pattern. I really could have used pink, green, blue, zebra and been ok. I only used about half of each pack.
I continued all the way around the wreath until it was covered.
This is the final product. I wish I had a picture to share of the wreath on my classroom door. It goes great with my Neon Hollywood Theme classroom. The total cost was $7.00! And really....I could make one more if I had another wreath. I have plenty of napkins left over. If I have time, I may do one for each holiday for my classroom. It's a perfect, inexpensive way to decorate a boring classroom door.
