Dylan had a very exciting week. First, we tried oatmeal!! He loved it!! It's so cute watching him eat it. He just smacks his lips and grunts for more. Tuesday I came home from work to this...Dylan did not even realize I had walked in the door.
Because he was doing this.....
Finally he realized I was home. He loves laying in the floor, propped up on a pillow, in front of a tv. At first, I thought it was more about the colors and sounds on tv that he loved, but this week he started laughing at the tv. I'm not one for letting my child sit in front of the tv all the time. This is just a great way to get him calm and it also allows his babysitter to eat lunch/snack. The wonderful thing, Freckles does not even bother him. He watched Saturday morning cartoons for about twenty minutes this morning. This was enough time for him to wake up and gain his appetite for his morning feeding.
On Thursday morning, I got up to get ready for work. I heard Dylan starting to wake up, but decided to go ahead and take a shower. He will stay in his crib and talk for about 30 minutes every morning. He is such a morning baby. Anyway, I got out of the shower, got dressed, fixed my hair and make-up (the usual routine), then went in the kitchen to make Dylan's bottles for the day and my lunch. I heard him grunting, and I knew this was not the normal sound I hear in the morning. So, I went back to check on him, and this is what I found.....
He can now roll all the way over. He had rolled on his side a lot when playing and we have been practicing rolling over when we play. Now, he can do it all by his self. He was so proud. Mommy was proud too, until Thursday night when I put him to bed on his back and he rolled over on his belly. Every time I tried to get him to lay on his back he kept rolling to belly. Finally, I got him on his side and he fell asleep. I left him there because.................
