Michael and I had a very low key V-day this year. In the past we have always gone way overboard with gifts. This year we both said we would not do gifts. We just planned to spend time together out and about and enjoy each other. So, that is what we did. On Saturday, we spent the majority of the day shopping around Anderson. We did not buy anything but we had a great time just looking. We had a nice dinner together at Ramono's in Anderson. I would say it is just average. The food was pretty good but the service was terrible. Of course they were busy and we did not have to wait for a table. But we did have to wait a while for our food.
Sunday morning (Valentine's Day), I just could not get out of bed. I finally got up around 9:30. Michael was in the shower when I got up. I was so shocked when I looked at the table and I saw heart shaped toast with strawberry perserves and a bowl for my cereal. Inside the bowl were three really funny and cute poems. Michael wrote all of them. :-)
I tried my best to get ready to go to Sunday school but just did not feel well. I was ready to go about 5 minutes before it started but knew we would be walking in late. We sat around for a little while and then decided to take off to Greenville. It was a very enjoyable day. Again, we did a lot of looking, dreaming, and laughing. We ate at one of my favorite places, Sticky Fingers. Later that night we split a market fresh sandwich from Arby's.
Although, this Valentine's day was not full of gifts, I believe it is one of my favorites of all time. The time we spent together was wonderful. I hope all of you had a great day!!!
