Menu board

It's that time of year again when I look forward to getting back into a routine, but dread the amount of time I spend consumed with work.  Teaching is so much fun and I know a lot of people believe that teachers "have it made."  I do feel very fortunate to have all holidays off, 6 weeks during the summer, every weekend, and random weeks throughout the year.  It's just so easy to get into the idea of being a stay at home mom.  As teachers, we work on lesson plans, creative ideas, and grading papers at home more than we wish, so because of that I decided to make a menu board for my kitchen.  This well just help make grocery shopping a little easier, planning meals less stressful, and allow me to prepare of the next day's meal before heading to bed.  I always find myself saying, "I have stuff to cook, but it's frozen or  I can make blah blah blah if only I had ____________."    My inspiration came from pinterest (click on photo for web address).

And this is my version:

I created the template in Microsoft, cut it to fit into an old 8 x 10 frame, and then used a dry erase marker to write on it.  The grocery list side will just come in handy for when we think of things we need spur of the moment.  I put my list in my phone, but Michael likes to have a place to write it down.
