Getting out the door in the morning

Robyn at:  http://southern-sisters.blogspot.com/ wants to know “How do you get out the door in the morning?”

I too am very Type A!  I have a routine and I stick to it!  I lay out my clothes every night before I got to bed.  I have everything ready including what jewelry and shoes I am going to wear.  It makes life a lot easier in the morning.   When I was pregnant with Dylan I picked out 5 outfits for the entire week, ironed them, accessorized them and had them ready.  I would love to get back into this routine.  Only I would probably have to choose 6 just in case I wasn’t in the mood for a particular outfit.  Ok enough rambling!

In the morning I wake up and go straight to the kitchen to take my meds. Both medications I take require that they be taken 30 minutes prior to eating.  PERFECT!  It takes me about 25 minutes to shower, fix my hair, put on my make-up, and get dressed.

I go into the kitchen fix and pack my lunch, make Dylan’s bottles for the day, and eat breakfast.

By the time I finish my breakfast, Dylan is usually ready to get up.  So, I get him up, dress him, and feed him his morning bottle.

That gives me just enough time to brush my teeth and say goodbye!

Every once in a while I have a few minutes left over to sit and play with Dylan!  I love mornings like that!

On another note… this weekend Michael and I cleaned out our laundry room and linen closet.  We are trying to sort through things we don’t need to make room for Dylan’s stuff.  We are outgrowing our little home very fast.  So…how do you stay organized?  What kinds of things do you toss and what kinds of things do you keep (just in case)?

Well we all know I have a keep or toss problem. I seriously am in a stage of "if it doesn't have a home, toss it." Especially with clothes, I refuse to box up stuff that I might wear one day when truth is, if I needed those sizes again, what I had is probably out of date and worn and I'll just buy it again. Baby stuff takes up way too much space. I have loaned out as much as I can! Wow, I wish I could lay out 5 outfits all accessorized and ready to go. maybe I could try that!
