I decided this year to make a few goals instead of resolutions. I like that word better. When setting a goal, I think it's something you would like to achieve not something you feel guilty about not achieving.
So:
1. Get back in shape. I was in terrific shape when Michael and I got married. I worked out everyday before the big day. My job working as an exercise therapist also kept me on my feet and constantly exercising. Since becoming a teacher (which I love) I have let my exercising go. I became pregnant, had a scare in the beginning, and totally quit any activity. So..here's to getting back in shape.
2. SAVE SAVE SAVE!!! When Michael and I got married we set a goal to be in a new house within 5 years. Well, this April will be 4 years of marriage!! The economy is not in our favor, as we would never get what we want to for the house we have now. So, with that said; I'm being very patient and just going to spend this year saving any extra money I have. I will use this money to put more down on a new house, furnish the new house, and decorate the new house. So, we may be looking at 5 more years...but one day I will have my dream home. I just have to keep telling myself to be Patient!!!
3. Eating out....LESS!! Since Dylan was born this has actually already happened. The first 5 weeks of Dylan's life we had food from friends and family. It was such a blessing. Now, that the meals have stopped coming in; I am back in the kitchen. I love cooking!! We went out to eat on New Year's Eve with our amazing friends. I enjoyed the company but do have to say the food and cost of the food reminded me so much of how I love food from home. It just tastes so much better.
4. Taking pictures. I got a new camera for Christmas. I have been saving for it since my birthday. I'm so excited about learning all of it's new features. I want to be able to create many albums for Dylan. I don't have a ton of pictures from when I was his age and really want him to have pictures! I would love to be able to post a picture a day for this entire year, but I know that I don't get on and update my blog that often. So, when I do update I will try my best to add a few pictures!!
So with that said, I think I have my work cut out for me this year. I have already saved money this month, we have not ate out this year (I know it's only the 4th day), and I've taken a lot of pictures. I'm checking FIT tv for some workouts that may interest me. I took Dylan for a stroll the other day, but it's just been to cold and wet to get back out.
I wish everyone the best of luck on all their "goals" for the new year!!!

3 Sweet Notes:
Can't wait to see new pics!!! I sooo want to eat out less. It's ridiculously priced for what you get. I sit there and think, I could buy almost a week's worth of groceries for what I just paid for that one meal. Maybe seeing you acheive this goal will motivate me. You gotta share recipes!
Love your goals!! You will be so happy that you took a lot of pictures! That is one of things I am so glad I did and am still doing. Good luck with everything!!
Love your goals! We're trying to eat out less too because it is a rip off. Can't wait to see your new camera! What a perfect gift!!
